I was just wondering if anyone has used this before.
Does it go on like regular paint? I plan on using the aluminum one, which says it is non-buff? What does that mean?

I have used Testor's Metalizer aluminum paint. Goes on just like any other enamel paint. With an airbrush goes on easily and thin, shows details well. I think they call it metalizer because it may actually have metal flakes in it??? Don't really know. The non-buffing refers to their line of paints that was a buffing metalizer. You could buff-up the shine. Where as the non-buffing, you can buff all you want and you will not change the luster of the paint, just eventually rub it off. Hope that answers your questions? what are you thinking of painting with it?

That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
I bought a model kit of this happy chap at the hobby show held recently:

I plan an going all-out with this kit, I want it to be something really special.
Oh, it's a CF-100 Canuck by the way. An all weather, all Canadian interceptor. The famous Avro Arrow was intended to replace this plane.

Matt,
There's also Alclad 2: http://www.alclad2.com/alclad-home.html
A guy on the MR forum used it a while back to metallize his Bachmann Metroliners, and the result was pretty fantastic.

Something I am currently trying on one of my natural metal models is use slightly different colors for the different type of panels. I have the metalizer aluminum, stainless steel, and I think.... chrome or one of the buffing metalizers. Might be an idea for your CF-100. Anyway, I really want this model to be something special too, as I intend to display it prominently.

Hmm...both products seem to have advantages and disadvantages over the other.
Testors doesn't need primer, but needs a sealer, Alclad needs primer but no sealer...which one?!
