I picked this up at yesterday's train show in Wheaton for $1.00 - only $0.11 more than the original MSRP.

I love its futuristic post-modern appearance.
The instruction sheet also has a catalog of sorts that advertise their other "Modern Architecture Series." The other kits seem to span the slot car set (Observation Tower, Grandstand, Pit Stop, Refreshment Stand, and this one), but the railroad oriented models are intriguing. (Office Building, Department Store, Railroad Station, Hotel, Shopping Center, Medical Building, and Apartment House). According to the box, this kit is from 1964.
Has anyone seen any other kits in this series? Did they make it to get repacked by someone else?
I've tried checking other sites, no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

| That looks like a Preiser kit to me but I don't know the model number. I think they focus mainly on figurines now.

| With the right keywords in the title that might pull some good money on eBay, primarily because of the slot car connections. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Does it have any country of origin information on it? That might clue in who could have made it.

Everything on the kit is marked "Made in USA" or "Printed in USA." The sprue is pretty thick and clunky and a few of the larger pieces have broken off. If there were decals with this kit, they are probably long gone, but the instruction sheet does not mention any.
I'm giving this one to my uncle, who is into the slot car stuff.
I would be interested in finding some of those other kits listed there, though. I find that post-modern pseudo-space age architecture of the late 1950's/early 1960's fascinating...
