Hi, I was lucky enough to receive a Louis and Marx Mechanical Train Set from my grandfather , who used it in his childhood. He is over 60 years old, so I'm sure the train set must be at least 50 years old. You put a key in the locomotive and wind it up, and when you push a little lever it speeds around the track. Any information on the set would be great. Would it be worth something? Thanks a lot, here are some pictures:

Yes it is worth something. I wouldn't expect to get rick of of it though. Those were made by the millions and sold cheap. I would do an internet seach. it should find a few sites that can give you a better idea of what it would sell for. I have a few clockwork Marx trains, some even older than yours. I enjoy running them and don't think I would want to sell them at any price.

Like Ray said, Pretty common postwar Marx stuff. Might get you 50-60 bucks if you sold it. It's probably worth more to keep it in the family, and pass it on to the next generation.

Thanks for the help, I don't plan on ever getting rid of it.
