I really like this site! Thanks go out to all the members and staff. This is a really nice forum site.
I'm somewhat of a TYCO hobbyist. I have several US1 sets (an OEM Night Haulers set and then a couple others that comprise my Greensboro set), Command Control Detour (MIB), The Silver Streak set (MIB), and then another Silver Streak loco and caboose (my driver).
I have a lot of hobbies, not just TYCO stuff. I like rifles, old Corvettes, and anything that involves working with my hands, mind, or a good challenge.
Some of my non-TYCO work includes custom trains, specifically my D&RGW modeled below in a coffee table. My wife would not let me put a train the living room, so I smuggled one inside a piece of furniture-

As I stated above, I like old Corvettes and do some custom mechanical and bodywork as well. http://s219.photobucket.com/albums/cc96/Johnny-s_Shark/
Again, I am happy to be here. Look forward to posting and sharing insights with y'all on the forum.

| Welcome aboard Johnnykane. The forus is fun. I seen where you like cars too. I've been a bodyman/painter for as long as I can remember, (or longer).. I am a Tyco train lover from childhood. My life & hobbies are cars. I drive new cars but I have two old cars too. I am fan of many makes & models. My favorites start in 1955 with the Chevrolets and it's Convertable along with the Thunderbirds of the same time frame. My interest stops about 1981 as far as the older cars go. I do go back to the 33 & 41 Willys cars and enjoy even those not in the mentioned time frame.

Ah, another one from KY, finally! I'm over in Frankfort. Feels like a vacuum around here times. Would have gone to the Cincy NMRA train show this weekend if I hadn't just spent that money on some new Atlas sound GP40's...
Anyway I like your custom stuff - very nice work. In addition to an extensive Tyco collection I also do a lot of custom work too, you can see it here or consolidated on my website.
I've been toying with the idea of building a coffee table to run my N-scale stuff since our club took down its layout a year ago. Yours looks awesome! Nice rustic theme fits the layout inside well.
Beautiful car. Not my favorite Vette bodystyle but it is one of the few colors that looks good... and it sounds even better. I have a long way to go before I can earn any serious car cred but I do have a 70's battlecruiser (75 Lincoln Mark IV) I restored to cruising shape and am hoping to work on a 1929 Model A soon. Once (if) I ever get a garage I'll start tearing apart my 1988 T-bird.
Welcome aboard... and have fun,
-Tony L.

See, I told ya, every new member has an awesome classic car!
Like the sneaky N scale layout too, it's pretty slick.
Feel free to jump in, and post pictures too!

Welcome aboard. I'm alot like you. Anything to keep me busy. I'm back into trains after 20 years. Been into old cars since age 16 (long time ago!). I'm a fan of Canadian built Pontiacs (quite different than U.S counterparts as they use Chevy chassis). You can check out my website:
