Ok so I'm not new to the forum, I've read it off and on for a year and a half since I joined. I contributed a lot in the first few months and then my interests turned back to my other hobby, Aurora slot cars. I joined this forum because I came into a large TYCO collection mostly pre-production stuff from a former employee. I searched the internet for info, found this great site and wanted to share. Sorry for the rant but it's for the newbies who do not know me. I recently set up at the Allentown,PA spring thaw train meet. It was a good one. I met Abe again, he is a great guy and very enthusiastic. I also met Anatov, MR TYCO and had a good conversation with him. I sent him off to find Slot car stuff for an eventual trade for some of my pre-production train stuff. Todd NYC also stopped by and we talked a bit. Priorities are such that I may not get a chance to post here often but I will when I can. Glad to be back..... Bob

I saw an auction for a collector car magazine about 3-4 weeks ago and it mentioned this was a special issue because of a Bob "somebody" interview, was that you Bob?

Ah, silly Alco Fan, you mean you never figured this guy out yet? I'm sorry.

He never replies to anyone or participates in any conversation! He had (has) no knowledge of trains, nor interest in them... he just lucked into a stash and wants to flaunt what he can in the hopes of all the $$$ it may be worth. A hyper-competetive "investor" (not collector hobbyist) who won't even share info and claims ignorance when pressed, yet takes whatever he can freely given by others. He's got other insiders of that "grumpy old investor, ha-ha look what I got" mindset helping him out too. Trust me on that.

So if you don't have slot cars, or free info, or rare stuff, or $$$ insights, you're not worth his time.

Flipside to that, I've half a mind to delete his old posts to keep from further shamming the other folks here. In the meanwhile I wouldn't pay him a bit of attention. And while I don't like ruffling feathers, I know where I and a few others stand on this guy... he deserves it.
