Hi Pat! Thank You for the kind reply on my pics. I hope I am not wearing members out with my photos. This stuff is a lot of fun just to have around. It kind of takes me back in time. A time when all I had to worry about was "who can I find, to play with my Tyco trains & slot cars tomorrow?"

Hey Walt,
Cool stuff, I've been enjoying your pics. I agree with your thoughts about taking you back to a simpler time. That's one of the reasons I have been collecting Tyco's. Enjoy !!

I want the Chi Chi's one...

When I was in Bible college, my roommate was a Mexican National who had recently been invited to dinner by one of the campus families who went out of their way to make international students feel at home.

He came up to me with a worried look on his face..."Brother Bob...please tell me about this Chi Chi's this family is taking me to."

I saw his face and said, "Oh no...just what does Chi Chi's mean in Mexico?"

Imagine my surprise as he tastefully and very carefully pointed out that that is a slang term for a prominent part of womenfolk anatomy in Mexico.

A few more Life-Like Light ups, Signs & People... I actualy need one more pack of signs in the bottom row with two (or four) Stop Signs. They are easy to get, I'm sure there is a few packs on Ebay right now.

Microbus, I had quite a few lights on my layout in the early 70s.. We used it daily and I can't remember mom being mad about the electric bill!!

These light ups will last for years if they are on a controlled circut. As a kid I hooked them up on a separate Tyco Train transformer on the speed control side. IF they are not used "too bright" using too much power, they last a good long time..

On my old layout, slot car crashes took out more light poles than anything else. They cant stand that abuse for sure!

Another similar thread is up, but here is the nice billboards by Tyco & L-L. I had some of these on my 1970s layout. Always a favorite of mine.
