I currently have blue box HO Bachmann models, some with and without DCC. I believe these are the most current packaging. Are these the "standard" model. I have seen these DCC models in beginners sets at Hobby Lobby. I am impressed with these models, but those cars in those sets leave a little to be desired.

In the past (I've been in ON30 lately) I have had Bachmann Spectrum diesels in a box with a lid and also Bachmann Plus steam engine. I also see white box Bachmann on ebay.

Is there a history of Bachmann Boxes (ie, Tyco red box, Tyco brown box)?

The current Bachmann website isn't as clear to me, as what is standard, plus, spectrum, ect.

Does anyone have any info, or link to the info?

Thanks!!
