The literal end of the line:

A good supply of these was on ebay several weeks ago. Tyco's last remaining in-house loco, relegated to leftover status, as bought and sold by IHC, in an IHC box. The "no handrails" quote cracks me up.
A nice looking paint scheme though.

Nice loco--Many have confused this loco as being made in the in the 70's which is not the case. This engine appeared in the late 80's until the end of Tyco's train production in 93. I have seen this listed on ebay as sprirt of 76 collectible??. Obviously by someone who does not know that the 76 and USA Express were years apart.

Nice grouping, Ken. Here's the action on my layout today: An Athearn GP-30 leads an AHM RS-2, hauling a Marx gondola and a Bachmann Rock Island box car. The AHM is actually providing the power, as the Geep is a dummy. The Rock car is about as glossy as can be painted! All except the AHM are recent aquisitions.

This was picked up at a local show today. The fellow selling them was blowing them out for 20.00 each. He had Santa Fe Southern Pacific and this NYC version. Very heavy with 2 brass flywheels and it runs smooth. The unit also has a lot of detail.

Hey, my first loco that has been posted, its a straight up Mantua 0-4-0T, solid shell, zinc or some kind of metal, lol. My friend gave it to me, cuz he didn't want to clean it, it didn't run before i got it, now it runs like a champ, all it needed was some TLC and oil.

Can't beat those Mantua 0-4-0's for simplicity and reliability. I like the GN lettering.

Here's my winter break project, found by my parents at a garage sale a couple months ago. It was in almost new condition and after a little cleaning runs like it, too.

Here are two Tyco engines that arrived this week on my layout...

The Amtrak I had never come across before.

Hey Mike. Cool GP-20. I've never seen one of those before. Is it the original paint? I also notice it has the standard C430 numberboards.

Thanks guys, it is the original paint. I had not seen one before either, but had read about it on Tony's Tyco site. It has both names, Mantua Tyco, on the weight on the bottom.
I really like the GP20's. Ken, I like that picture of the CNW beside the Amtrak.

Tony, any idea of what search terms you used? I just tried searching Jan 11th, no luck finding the USA Express so far. I like that body, intend to use it or a similar one for my AMC train fleet eventually. New one would be nice! I'll keep looking on Ebay for the leftovers. Maybe they're all gone now.

I don't remember how it was listed. I normally just do a generic search for "Tyco" periodically and it just showed up. I actually passed bidding on a couple, then got one eventually, then continued to see more like 1 per week for a month on. But I haven't seen anymore for a week or two now.
