Very nice-looking, Pierce. Old Athearn GP-30's aren't known for being particularly elegant or accurate, but this one looks great!

Yes I had to have it when I saw it at a Allentown Train Meet a few years ago. I was quite impressed with it even tho I do not typically run Great Northern...

My latest loco is this wonderful little beastie given to me by a dear friend:

I don't know much about Penn Line, and I've not typically been much enamored with hustlers and goats (boy does that ever sound perverted ) but I gotta say... this little guy is awesome! Looks so deliciously silly tooling around the layout. I'm not sure if the gearing was designed intentionally for it, but it crawls at a pretty slow speed - appropriate for its size.
The detail is kind of funny. Penn Line makes some bold claims about fidelity and detail... and the see-thru front grille, side louvers, and top details, are well-done for the time. But where the heck is the truck/wheelbase apparatii? And how are you supposed to see out the front?!
I'm eventually going to paint this as the official STC shop Goat. It was a gift ostensibly for Beverly, so that's appropriate - given that she eats like one!

Tony, someone gave you a mint Midget? I've wanted one of those for a long time. Some versions had quieter gearing than others, using angled teeth on the spur gears. It's actually a darn accurate model of a Whitcomb switcher, although they left out the front windows.
