Nice one, Mike, I like the ones they did with full valve gear.
Mine I call the "Royally Blown" because it is a Royal Blue that's been painted over by a previous owner... ...I touched it up a bit to make it more presentable.

I had my father buy me one of these when I was 12 because it looked so much like this old girl, Black River & Western #60.

I guess it ran for a little over a year before the pinion gave out. Of course now I know how to keep 'em running.

I appreciate the kind words, being able to take them out into real sunlight on a diorama makes all the difference.

my only atlas of this period as you see and mint boxed,runs a dream,had a circuit board made for it as original supports and light removed to fit dcc by previous owner i returned it to original specs apart from hook and horns rear,kadee front ken

Old meets new---4-6-2 City of Bristol meets Class 25 diesel in front of a classic Airfix signal box on my Tyco/Mantua/Hornby/US/British layout!! All British models obtained with great help from Ken.

This was $11.99 in the junk bin at the LHS. I think it was barely run. After cleaning the brushes and commutator and giving it a lubrication, it runs smooth. 

...and $1.99 for the cabeese.
The box had the rest of what must have been the cars from the set, including a Baby Ruth Reefer, but I didn't want them. I'll snatch them up if anyone here wants them.
