here is my bachmann FT - yes its all chrome. think its rare because i have never seen it on ebay. does anybody now how old it is? was it sold only in a train set ?

Erich--these were sold in the early to mid 80's as an single engine and in small Bachmann train sets. I use to have that loco and the other chrome red SF GE U boat loco they did also

Mine was a freebie left behind when a resident moved out...it's pristine and it runs, in an academic sense

Just recently picked up some catalogs. The engine was 1st listed in 1978 in Set #100 Diesel Hustler set. It had the engine with a hopper car, boxcar, caboose with a circle of track and power pack.
