I have noticed Ebay advts for the subject Loco. In the text it says - " Plus, the dual mode decoders work on both DC and DCC layouts automatically, without any internal switching or user modification." It also says: "Decoder features include:
16-bit sound processor
several versions, each containing a unique suite of sounds, including whistles, bells, chuffs, and much more
complete DCC functions"
Can someone who has one of these or knows them, tell me which DCC functions will work on DC? For instance will the sound work on DC?
Thank you Tanked

hi TankedEngine,if you are referring to broadway blueline locos they come either dc with dcc ready or fully dcc,i have the first and on dc you only control the steam functions ie brake of build up and move, same in reverse,to get the horn and whistle you need the dcmaster as in link, very easy to install, connect to transformer dc terminals and then connect to track as you would the transformer, well worth it if you are all dc,they also do livestock cars with sounds ken http://www.broadway-limited.com/catalog/DCMaster_Analog_Control_Module-1745-1.html
