Just got a new tycoscene and center expander section. This is my third full set. Anyway the original price tag was $4.95...What I would give for a Time Machine and a Toy's R Us ! Putting them all together in a 12'x8' L shape 4.5' wide. Just some simple loops of track and I'm using another tycoscene to cut out the road bed and a street for a custom blend from the panels. Sounds crazy I know but I need alot of space for all my tycokits, action cars, etc. Trying to stay all tyco and use everything I got. Posting pics this weekend after I work out a few idea's.

Maybe going with something like this.

The long vertical section in the middle will be a elevated bridge.

tycoboy-- Looking at your diagram posted for track plan-Looks great-are you accounting for an auto or manual reverse block section as you are going to need one on one section of that lower 90 degree crossing to keep locomotive from getting zapped with 2 different directions of current. From top left of your diagram -- The first lower right switch going back to the lower loop is where you will need the reverse block
You could use Atlas selector controllers for manual reversing or MRC sells an automatic reverse for around $30.00 new. Could probably find one on ebay cheaper.
On the block--Block the straight section between the switches

Oh thanks. I have 4 new block switches from tyco. They are grey with orange switch A-B is that what I need?

With all switches intact, you do have one or two reversing sections.
Take two locomotives, one powered and one dummy. Park both powered and dummy locomotive on the top track pointed to the left/same direction. Pointed in the "Counter-Clockwise" position.
Start pushing the dummy locomotive forward.
Roll the dummy all around every track and switch.
WHEN your dummy locomotive becomes head to head with your powered locomotive, that will warn you of a reversing section.
In your plan, not counting outside borders:
Top to bottom your GRID LINES (going up-down) Numbered "1 to 11" Left to right Labeled < 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 >
12 horizontal (going left to right) GRID LINES Lettered "A to H" Top to Bottom Labeled A ^ B | C | D | E | F | G | H V
Insulate Tracks between two switches at positions of the Right-handed Switch 4D AND just before the Left-handed switch at D8.
That little section of track may cause a head-ache. It's a quite well hidden reverse section.
Okay, that is... if you follow this exact track arrangement. Aside from that block/set of tracks, all other traffic will flow nicely.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

| Yes--those Tyco A&B switches will work-- That is what they were sold for i believe--they came with the track expander sets sold -- if you need a diagram on how to wire that--i have the tyco model railroad manual--that has the diagrams on reverse wiring
