Wal-mart had the 1/87 Fresh Cherries cars on sale last Saturday for a buck. I picked up the brown '74 Hornet and the red '79 Pacer. I should have bought the whole box. I could use the wheels to kitbash some cheaper cars. They'd also make a nice load for the Tyco Auto Loader.

Sorry my store had the bigger cars on the blister pack for a buck today and not the 1/87. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Anybody get any sale bargains related to the hobby?

I bought them when they showed up here back in October, shame they won't be carrying them anymore.

Are you sure they intend to stop carrying them? I ask because both stores near me raised the price prior to Christmas. The price has not been reduced yet. They go for $2.24 each.

What other store have you found these cars at? The train store here carries them but charges $5 and change each!!! Seems the shop owner has never checked the price at the local Walmart.

They were dropped at both of my Wal-Marts---after they were all gone. Now that they've done the relay, there is no provision for them in the display. The Malibu Classics are still there as well as an expanded line of the Malibu trucks, mostly of European design though.

Yeah - Wally World also had a lot of Norscot CAT 1/87 construction equipment too. $5 per vehicle versus Walther's $20. Same items and SKUs. But when they were gone at Walmart, they never restocked.

Today at Wal-mart I just picked up 4 Norscotts for $2.93 each. Some of the Fresh Cherries were $1.88.

The Norscotts look great on Tyco flats. [:D]
