I watched the last two minutes of that auction ...last two bids come in in the last 30 seconds. I was not a bidder as I've had my BR quite a while. But its fub to watch the auctions. Same seller had the 7 Up plant that sold for $9.99...

Nice collection there walt.
The 7Up tends to go for a lot less, guess they made more of those.
I got mine for around 9.00 too MIB.
The only commercial {Contemporary} properties that you have that i'm missing are The McDonalds and an MIB Pizza Hut.

And, of course, I'm always searching for the "elusive" Tyco 7-11!

Hey Brian! The photo above was taken in late 2001. Actualy the pic shows just a few of the Tyco/Life-Like buildings I have. These buildings are so cool to own after all this time. I was a big fan of Life Like Buildem's kits in the 1970's era, during my first childhood!!!

I totally agree with you on the age factor Walt.
I used to drool on the catalog, when i was around 14, wanting this and that but never being able to afford it.
I just finished aquiring the entire Center Street Series {with the Schoolhouse MIB too!!} and the Lighted Buildings Series too.
I'm trying my best to stay within Tyco.
Although, the LL KFC & Freeze were irresistible!!!
I'm not doing all the TycoKits though. Just ones that go with others, IE; the Cattle Car & Depot, so I got the Stockyard too.
I've also got 5 Tyco-matic semaphor switches MIB!!!
Oh yeah, i do buy extras, or open boxes, for the layout too.
I just started recollecting about 6 months ago, when i stumbled across a "Mammoth of the Rails" w/Chessie loco set MIB. That set came with a lot of extras & accessories to get me re-started.

Keep me posted!!

Hey Tyco - Brian, I too like to buy the boxed sealed building kits. The old Life-Like "Buildems" buildings used to be short on pieces new from the store. That was a bummer as a kid...

I have my Tyco Center Street buildings photo in the "more TycoKits" thread. More detail will be added to them when layout constrution begins. There'sa couple of the building that I have already detailed with paint, but left all the "sidewalk" items in boxes until later.

I like the old stuff in general & I have several photos on the forum. I light the tyco Lighing assesories, the old style Tyco slot car track & rail crossings etc... It's all just a nice bunch of stuff to have and collect...
