Ahh... footage of the Metra commuter line taken from (or another building near) the Sears Tower in Chicago.

Not bad. When and where did this ever air? It almost has a student-quality feel to it.

When did Athearn ever advertise on TV? Given that ad, it's a good thing it had limited exposure. Yikes.

I was half-expecting them to say "My railroad is radical, C-Dog!" Or maybe tubular. There's a big difference ya know.

This was part of a promo' video for Railroad Tycoon II.

Athearn got the royalties from PopTop because most of the available graphic trains were based upon Athearn models. Naturally, no steam engines.
Also, not in the earlier vintage cars, either.

The video comes with the CD ROM from PopTop.

I'd sell my RRT II if someone is interested. It is a computer game... it also allows you to play it with others over the internet.

John

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Yeah, but the young tycoon sounds more like he used his stock certificates for rolling papers. Paging Mr. Spicoli...
