Give us a list, Garret, because I may have some as well.
You can also buy directly from Athearn:
http://www.athearn.com/Products/Parts/Default.aspx
And there are plenty of guys on eBay who sell parts as well.

You'll need to replace the dummy trucks. I have a lot of dead parts units, so that's no biggie.

That's the easiest way to do it. I have powered dummy trucks but it is a pain in the butt. In most cases both dummy trucks are the same (fronts or rears). You have to change the truck bolster to the other side of the truck and by the time you buy all the gears you have spent more than a set of powered trucks cost. I usually buy a used loco and swap the parts. What style trucks do you need?

Are the newer style dummy trucks easier to convert, Ray? I have an FP45 with the diecast frames and plastic bushings that would have to be replaced with bronze ones. [xx(]

My friends ED and Sandy have a number of Athearn parts for some of the older Athearn trains.

The trucks with the metal side frames are the hardest to convert. They not only need the bearings changed but switching the bolster pad on the truck is a major project because the way the studs that hold the sideframes on are. They're peened over and must be ground off to remove the bolster pad. The bolster pad on the 3 axle truck has to be rebent to fit the other side and the studs must be drilled for screws to hold the bolster pad and side frames on. It is a real PITA but can be done. The easiest trucks to convert are the 2 axle trucks with the inside bearings.

Guys,
Here are two websites I use to get Athearn parts and trains.
http://www.modelrailcraft.com/ http://www.wholesaletrains.com/
Both have a fair amount of stuff on there sites, and if you don't see it you can always ask. The prices are average, but they tend to beat the Athearn direct prices.
