I got the following train car recently. It has a standard Tyco boxcar base with the Tyco logo. But it doesn't look like other Tycos. Is this a 60's model, or do you think someone swapped in a Tyco base?

It is an AHM, although Pemco also sold the same car with a different road number. The Tyco base is not original, but does fit. This was a hallmark of Pemco / Yugoslav tooling.

Hi,

the JailBox was from Walthers (ca. 1980). They had a series of cars called "tongue-in-cheek" back then.

Cheers,

Martin

The JailBox is in the 1986 Walthers HO catalog. I'll have to dig it out and scan in the ad.
