Continuing the theme of last week. I ran these yesterday and they run nicely together slow, and are relatively quiet. 8WD with no flywheel.

They both came out of blue Model Power boxes. No manufacturer on bottom but an empty triangle logo and "Made in Yugoslovia"

Quite likely they are from Model Power then. Model Power recently imported them from Mehano. I don't know if they still carry those or not though.

To go with the theme this week, here is my GP-18, like Alco Fan I have no idea who imported this. I had to replace most of the rails and repaint them.

Hey Jeremy,
Your GP18 was made by Mehano. It was only imported into the US by AHM and Bachmann. In fact, Mehano still offers that model with new motor.
Yours has been customized a bit more then you might think. Neither of the truck frames is original. The truck on the short hood end has the side frames off an AHM C-Liner. The other side frame looks to be off an AHM/Model Power RS-2.
I don't know about Conrail, but MoPac did have several GP18s equiped with Alco truck side frames. If you get another side frame, you could swap and have a complete set.

This is an AHM GP18 that I modified to represent a C&O GP9.

I also filled in the open pilot and added a little extra detail there. The fuel tank and air tanks were modified. The Dynamic Brake parts are from an Athearn GP9. Classification lights were added to the hood ends, louvers were added to some hood doors and the bell and horn were added. The drive is basicly stock, all I did was add wipers to make it 8 wheel electrical pick up.

I used Athearn stantions on that loco. I have bent my own from flat wire (large staples). There are some photos of the railings as I built them for an RS11 in this thread. I used a slightly different stantion on it. http://www.2guyzandsumtrains.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=1381/postdays=0/postorder=asc/start=15.html

hey Ray,
is there anything you're not good at building or converting?
a fine ChepOh.
And that's a classic Got More & Otherwise Geep 38-2 Carl.
I'm without potential entry for a while.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
