Okay, what's the number of this boxcar? Any history or prototype is appreciated. My first guess brings me to Canadian National...

I bought it the same time I bought the ALCO demo.
Thanks for your input.
My curiosity awaits.
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Huh, I just realized that's a completely different type of car than what I first thought. It's a 50' plug door, right?
The one I have is a Kader (Bachmann / AHM) All-Door. The prototype paint scheme was run by CN. My Bachmann All-door does have the reporting marks (on the ends too!) as CN 401527. Don't know if that's accurate.
It IS for newsprint. The designs are the logos / mastheads of Canadian newspapers. I once identified about half of them but now only recognize the "Globe and Mail" and "Kamploops Daily". FWIW the Bachmann all-door fits more "newsprint" variants on the side (including "Winnipeg").

I have a friend who's got one in N-Scale and the "Kamloops Daily News" shows up ever more on them. My car barely shows "LOOPS" on it.
GIC, yours has a good representation of the "Kamloops Daily News" on it.
One of the "Pictorial" books on the Canadian National Railway has this in it, but only on one side of the 50' plug-door boxcar.
Thanks people!
