Sorry not Tyco but Bachman GP30 given to me by my wife before we got hitched. I love the paint scheme.

Very nice, Alco Fan! Please allow me to continue the theme of non-Tyco (but only for a moment, and still somewhat connected!). This is a late Mantua F-7 with can motor and flywheels. Trailing is the matching unpowered B-unit which has a full frame, but retains the old tabs in the sides where the older versions would have had the trucks attached. It looks great pulling the matched set of aluminum "Golden State" cars.

Yesterday I went out and bought myself an air brush so I could do some custom paint jobs. People have told me to get lots of practice before I actually start on a bigger project. So, to get a little practice I tried my airbrush on an old Tyco shell from a GI Joe switcher. I didn't think it would turn out this well, but it did, so I threw it back on a chassis and got some pics of it.
I masked it off with randomly laid ripped tape and then sprayed on red paint. So I ended up with this kind of red and green camo pattern.

Here is my Bachmann Auto-Train GE U36B, it has the old dual drive heavy frame. It is loud and slow, put pulls good.

This thing... good ol' PowerTorque bluebird flies like... uh... It goes really fast.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

I always loved the "Hershey's Kiss"-shaped bell on those. Tooth-breaking on the inside, toxic plating on the outside.

Were those Marx Hudsons made for them by American Flyer, or did they just copy their design?

Marx made 'em special, all by themselves. That's why they've got Blomberg trucks on their tenders...

Zebrails--I like your pic of the GN F-Unit, but it looks to me like the MU-2-equipped loco (the Tyco 'Deluxe'), and not a PT. ...seems to have the Mantua-style rear-coupler/pocket also. Am I missing something?

For the Tycophiles! Here's a little gem from the red-box era. It comes packaged in a clear plastic case with handrails in a separate bag.

Great pics everyone! I am a bit late to LotW but here is my contribution. Since we are on a kind of Bachmann kick this time around, here is a pic of one of the newer Bachmann 44 tonners. Behind it is an older GP35 painted my road colors:

Years back, I had a B.S. Great Northern 44 tonner. There's a motor in each truck. That's quite amazing. John
