Has anyone got a solution for a broken shaft on the big gear for PT drives? A guy just sent me some parts and all the motors had broken big gear shafts. I was thinking of trying to sand the shaft down flat and drilling a tap in and jb weld it, but was wondering if anyone else ran across this before.

Thanks,
pid

I have repaired a couple by drilling the block and pressing a pin in place.
I would use that as a last resort. If you can find another block in good shape, transfer the parts from that truck to the new one.

Thanks Ray,
Yeah, I've been doing that with mine. I'm just tinkering with the idea because. I've just tapped out one and used JB weld on the pin, we'll have to see if that's string enough to hold. If not there's other ways to make it stick [;)]
