As I've jokingly told a few others I previewed this one to:
"In the South, fishers will go noodling for bullhead. In the Midwest, sportsmen trust their line and tackle. In Saint Canard, we angle for catfish with spiked iron and canons" [:D]

No, it's not a "prototype" (in either the Tyco or real sense), but it should have been!

I was gonna say; those aren't OEM are they???
First time I've really liked the Chessie Tri-color. I particularly like the big kitten on the "F" Btw; what was the kitten's name?

The F-unit is factory production Tyco. The Shark is my own creation, custom painted with custom decals. The kitten's name was in fact "Chessie"!

Hi All,
That's a nice shark you made there GIC! Great work. In keeping with the theme we have going. Here is my Bachmann Chessie F9. It runs great now that I have my MRC transformer LOL! Only two colors though.

Thanks for looking. Mike

On the shark, the "B&O 7475" is from a Microscale set... but I had to individually apply each letter.
The large Chessie System heralds, and the nose logo, were made by me. There are a couple little errors with them I have fixed for future runs, but only a diehard Chessie fan would notice. Tyco's F7 and SD24 have pretty accurate logos, but the Alcos are terrible.

Hey the WM on the Chessie F7, it's for Western Maryland? Who else was part of that system?

The "WM" is indeed for Wild Mary, but was added by me. The WM was the only subsidiary to operate F-units in the Chessie era, but none were painted that way.
The controlling interest was the C&O, who bought a controlling stake in the B&O during the early 60's. The B&O already had a controlling stake in the WM, even then. Interestingly, all three railroads operated semi-independently, but still pooled resources. In the 70's, the original WM line was mostly abandoned en masse, because it literally paralleled the formerly-competing B&O in most spots. But the core line still survives as a premier scenic RR line today.
The B&O Chicago Terminal RR (B&OCT) was also considered a separate entity on paper. The Toledo Ore Company was also owned by Chessie, and in fact a small fleet of SD-40's had TORCO lettering on the cab. CSX continues this practice as I saw a CSX-TORCO unit in Cumberland this past October!
(interesting note about TORCO: In the 1980's, the Chicago lakefront featured two buildings with massive RR-related marquees along Michican Avenue. One had the "TORCO" logo, the other was Santa Fe with their famous logotype. The Torco sign disappeared some time ago. The Santa Fe sign still survives, and is happily still lit every evening, as something of a landmark. The building's new owner apparently decided to keep it that way [^]

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

One of my all time favourite Paint scheme's the pre-`61 CNR. Gonna paint an Atlas RS-1 in that, course as GT cause the CN never owned one directly and probably a Varney Metal SW8, I already have a rare as hell P2K RS10 in the old scheme it's #4 of 288 I think they made.
You sure don't have any space problems for that pike! Where do you sleep outside!?

Hey, thanks for watching. Oh, how I sometimes wish I could sleep there. But it is the town museum. And I think it is already haunted. I have been racking up volunteering hours since Feb '07... Mind you, under divine circumstances... And, I haven't asked lately about those hours. All I was told was: February-August: 800 hours. I guess I was inspired to do these videos because of you other people, here, who have done it as well. DaCheez, for example. With a digi-cam, the possibilities are almost endless.
I will be making more videos in the future. Uh, but please do not hold your breath.
John
