Nice piece, Bob. I'd love to pick up just the train one day. My LotW is my only brass piece, an HOn3 PFM/United model of a C&S 2-6-0 Mogul. It was given to me by the club I was in at the time for helping in a fund raiser. I do want to paint it but it's my first brass loco...sigh...

That is an added air reservoir for the brakes. The mountainous terrain made it necessary to store up a lot of air to help stop the trains. The Ridgeway a.k.a. "bear trap" spark arrestor is another C&S feature that dropped hot cinders safely on the road bed.

This is my Athearns Gp-40 Burlington Northern(I had to find a pic of it on the Internet, my camera doesn't want to work, my road number is 3035.) first i had a Gp-35, it stopped working 3 days after i got it. I took it back to exchange it but they had no more [V] So instead he gave me the next one up [:D]. Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!!
