If you read Mike's post under the TYCO comments I posted about why fake a pre-production TYCO train, he talks about thinking I was originally mrtyco on ebay. He mentions me as mr_aurora which is my ebay name for almost 10 yrs. Dan Esposito is mrtyco and has been for about the same time. I am to Aurora what Dan is to TYCO. Dan and I are good friends and he sold me this collection. As Mike says, Dan was selling tyco trains on Ebay in 2003 and probably let go a prototype or two. I now have all that stuff and Dan DID get it from a former TYCO employee, thanks Mike..... Funny thing about this TYCO stuff, Dan went on this list a few yrs ago and emailed someone to see if anyone wanted to buy the whole collection. He got no reply so he kept it. When he mentioned it to me a month ago I said, what the heck. and here I am... -Bob

Booooooooooo I wasn't here a couple years ago! [:P] Actually this forum is not even quite 2 years old itself.
There is another MrTyco on ebay then, his real name is Anatol and he actually has the huge brass sign that used to be on the Tyco HQ building...

I forgot to mention, I like that bubble cover over the slot course. Looks very cool. Was that part of a store display, or just a "simple" dust cover?
Unfortunately, I then picture the usual results of me trying to race slot cars... which would likely entail little cars flying around in there, ricocheting like lotto balls...

Answer to Romcat, yes most of it is for sale. Answer to GIC, the bubble to race set is an arcade game from the early 70's. The cars are pinned in the slots and can not come out. It is really a fun machine. The yellow "tub" track is an Aurora 5ft x 12ft fiberglass layout from the 60's. -Bob

Bob - like I said before, those out of box Santa Fe GP-20's just in the foam was my biggest clue to tie the link together. These are the eight I got from Dan. Mike

I used to race on a track at our local hobby shop in the early 70s. I'm not sure if that would have been the same track or not.
