[:D] These are a couple of cars i just recieved on Sept 13,2007. They are from BevBel which has been out of buisness for a while. They were known for customized rolling stock. They used life-like and Athearn rolling stock on most or all of their customized editions. The cars i have are= Boston Tea Party # 12022 (1992) Washington Crossing The Delaware #12009 (1992) Marines Raising The U.S. Flag @ Iwo Jima(1992-very cool car). All are life-like evans 50 ft boxcars. Anyone else have custom rolling stock from BevBel ?--Post it here under this topic.

I, too, loved reading MRPO items. I got two sets of Athearn Standard Passenger cars... 8 cars for the Chicago & North Western and 4 cars of Soo Line... Next time I'm in Minnesota...
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

I have always liked Bev-Bel because back in the 80`s and early 90`s while all the HO manufacturers were offering everything in UP , BN , and SF they offered a lot of eastern roads custom painted such as Chessie System. There used to be a place in Model Railroader that had mostly a 2 page spread every month called MRPO ( Model railway post office ) and they always had a nice selection of Bev-Bel. I have quite a few peices in my collection and would be hard pressed to photograph it all but the best peices that stick out that they offered were the Chessie System saftey slogan bay window cabooses. I belive they did 3 runs of these. The first run was in the late 70`s maybe early 80`s and this run is easy to spot because they had the weird Southern Pacific style antenas on the roof and marker lights. The next run was in the early 90`s , 1991 to be exact. And the last run was between 93 and the time they went out of buisness. They also offered a Chessie System bay-window cab that was in their traditional scheme that to my knowledge was only offered once and I recently purchased it . This peice came with a small paper enclosed which stated that Chessie System Railroads was a registered trademark of B&O,C&O , and WM and produced with permission. I thought this was pretty neat. I will miss Bev-Bel because they were affordable and could be made to look decent.

I loved Bev-Bel as they used to be one of the only ways to get Western Pacific and Sacramento Northern models and they were very nicely done.

I’ve always been a big fan of Bev-Bel… As IluvBudwsr sez Bev-Bel did the roads that the big manufactures ignored… A case in point is this custom run of Athearn S-12’s done a few years back…
The model…

The prototype…
