My son and I went to a local train show today and found some
red box stuff and a lot of AHM stuff.

We also found a guy selling 6 boxed Sara Lee cars for 2 bucks a piece.
there was also a Old Dutch center flow hooper boxed in the lot.
I wanted to replace the one I had gotten in 1976 in a Chattanoga set

We were able to use one of the frames from the Sara Lee cars to fix a
old Hunts Snack Pack car.

I was also lucky to find a 6 dome Roma Wine AHM car...I always wanted one of them when I was a kid.

We also bought a IHC GG1 set seemed pretty cheap for a complete set
with track and transformer and 5 cars for only $75.00.

The GG1 is our favorite engine...we have 14 of them in O gauge

now we have 2 in HO !

Nice find! Collecting Tyco almost makes shows more fun, because you get a LOT more for your money.... and maybe even resell for a little profit to fund other acquisitions [^]

GIC:

Some time this Chrismas, I'll be doing the Math. How many Tyco 430's and Gp20's have to sold to other Tyconaughts to buy a Blueline T1 Duplex and a Con-Cor Aero-train!?

Very , very nice score on all those excellent peices! Most train shows I attend dont even have that much stuff on the whole sales floor. I hope you and your son have fun with them.

Hey...

Nice grab on those six domed tankers. I really like my own ROMA car.
You've got two different ones.
Lucky dawg!

Enjoyment begins at one end and the fun never ends, it was meant to be!

John

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Nice pick up at that show. The Burlington AHM Coil Car is very nice and your Great Northern Box Car appears to include metal wheels which is uncommon and found mostly on earlier Roco or Rivarossi cars made for AHM.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys !

These last couple of months have truly been enjoyable.

Boy talk about being "out of the loop" I have never heard of this company called IHC until I saw there stuff on the tables at this show last weekend.

The 2 locos we bought are maybe lacking in detail but are really great runners !

I foresee a lot of that stuff making there way into our collection.

The kid is having a great time running this stuff and Im having a better time chasing the red box Tyco and AHM stuff.

He has plenty of unboxed stuff to run and Im now trying to figure out the best way to display the boxed stuff.

Thanks again
Bob
