Well guys it's a new week so a new locomotive!

Please add your own to stimulate discussion!

This week I'm showing one of my very rare in original box, Phase 1 Rivarossi powered Tyco Super 630 in SF Silver/Red

Sorry about the photography. I used a Palm Pilot!

Nose the Yellow nose trim? And please visit GIC's corner and have a look at his feature on the Tyco 630's and remind him he hasn't posted a LotW in like a generation!

This is a Tyco C630 I kitbashed.
The nose was chopped and a cab front was built from scratch by cutting, folding and fitting a clear piece of plastic for the cab front, masked off the window areas, applied the paint then removed the tape to form the windows.
Coupler mounting pads were mounted to the shell. the hole in the pilots were filled and then detailed with MU hoses and coupler lift bars.
The unpowered trucks were built from scratch. The sideframes were cast from resin in a wax mold I made using sideframes from a L/L C628.
The frame fuel tank were built from scratch.
The hand rails were made using Athearn stantions and .020" steel wire.

Ray,
Awesome!! What a cool model. Great ingenuity. I could just sit and look at this for the longest time.

Romcat,
Another excellent choice! Can't quite make out the Tyco shopping list.

When I was a kid back in the late 60s a lot of you guys know Two Guys
was the place to be on Dec 26...I always wanted one of these bigger
AHM separate sale engines but my Mom would only let me get a some of the freight cars for a couple of bucks.

Hey BT:

Those look real nice. Glad it finally got to be the Dec. 26th you wanted! We call that "Boxing" day here in Canada because it was the day you boxed presents up, and visited people the day after Christmas.

Thanks Gareth

Me and the little guy oiled up the Hudson and put it on the tracks.

The engine runs smooth and strong.

He is running the heck out of it now...where going to keep the Berkshire mint for at least for a few days.

I always saw "Boxing Day" on the calender and always wondered
what it was.... Thanks for the info !

Don't pick on GIC this week. He's short on time as I"m on the road for work so he's got his hands full - single dad so momma can work.
