So here's some of the painting projects I've been working on lately. Mostly another batch of equipment for Armodilloville. I'm kind of checking the last few items off the list for what a city needs.
To start, every good town needs the hippy commune complete with a Volkswagen and a big bus.

Next, most towns have a redneck farmer with a big truck, and a towin' company.

Then I have a big project going. Currently the paint work is awaiting a sealant coat, otherwise it's complete. I'm awaiting some trucksets to complete it fully.

I'll hopefully have some more work done this weekend, but some errands to run and a Christmas Tree to assemble. I have a Jade Fog Tanker Ready for finally paint as of now...

I also got to looking at my Via Rail Bachmann F-9 while it was sitting next to a Bachmann FT. I looked back and forth between the few a couple times, then realized that although the shells and truckset covers were different, deep down the drivetrains were potato-potato! So I swapped out the VIA's drive with the FT's Drive, and now it runs.

Wahoo! Armodilloville is really picking up speed! I'd riddent the Via from Missisauga to Toronto a few times. Wonderful ride. Glad to hear you got her running. Lot of fond memories of CN, of VIA.

After a ton of work, I finally got it sorted out mechanically, and now it's ready to go. Here is the mostly finished Armadillo Central C430.

Thanks guys. I was basing it off that early Tyco Red and Silver IC geep, RP. It turned out great, but I wish I had the warm temps to be able to learn some airbrushing. It's in the 20's during the day, and getting below zero at night.
Anyway, I recieved and completed another Armadillovile Public Works Vehicle. Here is Armodilloville's new Ford F600 Telephone Co. Utility Truck. This truck will be soon be servicing telephone poles high above the streets in the city of Armadillo-ly Love.

Yeah but when they did use it, they made millions and millions of them. I was matchbox collector too. I collected Lesney matchbox cars and hot wheels treasure hunts. I kinda gave it though since I started on Tyco. I like what I've done with my trains, and I'm happy enough with that.

a reason I get them cause they are $1 & compare to $20++ for a exact HO scale model its cheaper can be $50++ or so for HO semi trucks sometimes

Honestly, I could totally see you making YouTube videos of your work, from start to finish, showing you painting the locomotives in a time lapse. Just an idea.

The other day I recieved some old metal and wood freight cars from Chops. One is home-made, and the other is a brass globe boxcar.

The flatcar just needed a paint job, however the Globe car was quite loose and in disrepair. Thus, I took out all the nails and dismantled it to what an engineer would refer to as an exploded view.

After some extensive straightening and a paint job, here is the result of both cars. I will likely paint up some logos on then and do a return to sender.

The Fog was never known to be a stickler for safety protocols. If you fall off, it's your own durn fault!!
FYI, the Jade Fog brand is the original creation of El Rojo Grande. A beautiful adaptation by the Andersonville Paint Works.

Nice work Blaxand! In fact you nailed a little better than mine. I wish I had the detail painting setup you do. Being 100 miles from the nearest town with a Wally World puts a damper on things. In this region, model railroading is not a common hobby.
Now for your Nuclear Boxcar, you have to find a very crucial everyday item. You need to have to find a spool of thread that has the 3 spoke pattern on the ends. Cut it down like I did, and it's the perfect nuclear logo template. For the Radioactive Sludge I used Testors modeling cement and just force-hardened it with baking soda. I would find a larger boxcar than I did. I think a bachmann all-door boxcar would be good.

Anyway, here's a few more vehicles I kicked out for Armadillovile. These two are contributing more towards what makes Armadillovile what it is.
The truck is not complete yet. It should become a little more self explanatory once I have time to complete it.

Got a few more projects done. To start is another locomotive for Armadillovile, taking the form of Armadillo Central FT #706. I've had this unit ongoing for several days now, and finally got the paintwork completed tonight for the most part.

I also had a little project I made on a whim this afternoon. A model of a Hyster Palletjack. I see old rider pallet jacks every day at work, and I wanted to see how hard it is to make one. Turns out, not too bad.
This one will likely be going to the Jade Fog Plant.

Sorry bus, I don't have too much for throwaway cars. I have a redbox era BN car, but it's truthfully too nice to use.
Anyway, I got a few projects done today. I constructed a Hyster B40XL to the best of my ability.
This unit shall be going to RP to use in an industrial setting.
Secondly, I completed to streamlined cabs. My Via Rail recieved a number, a fire extinguisher logo on the rear doors, and a minor repair to the black paint on the nose. The A.C. FT recieved a PLX reporting mark and some lettering on the nose. I'm quite proud of both of these units.

Finally, I completed majority of the work for a project I've discussed with Chops. Here is the Purina Armadillo Chow Gondola. This was my Bachmann Southern Gondola that I retired some time back.

This gondola is still missing a vital piece of kit. A piece that will really make it fit Armadillovile well.

I got one more vehicle turned out for now. This one belongs to the Armadillovile National Guard. This is a Hot Wheels AM General Army truck repainted into a desert/olive color, with a custom topper made to for it. The national guard will be ready for giant armadillos, or dinosaurs, or even a return of the pesky Covid Bug!
