I got a rivarossi y6b for my birthday and one of the previous owners had done some mods to it one of them being they added a smoke unit and a switch to turn the smoke unit on and off. I am not sure which direction turns it on and which direction turns it off. also one of the wires that goes to the smoke unit has come unsoldered I am not sure where to solder it back on to. here is a picture showing the system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1xMD2Pjb0o If anyone can help me with this please let me know. Thanks!

If anyone has an answer it would be of use to me as well. I found a smoke unit in a mantua that's a seuthe which had no wires but I could see two solder nubs in the bottom.

The switch will be on when it is on the same side as the outside soldered wires ( it is on in the video). There should be another solder point on the opposite side to the existing and the other wire should be soldered to this. To answer the other query the wire are soldered to the electrical pickups - one to one side and the other to the other.

Yes you are right about the switch I tested it by hooking up the wires to a small motor and when it was in the position where the wires were soldered the motor turned over. I will try soldering the smoke unit to the other side Thanks!
