Hello all, I'm in a bit of a pickle. Does anyone know/can anyone help me figure out how to body mount Kadee couplers onto the TYCo pullman hopper?

Kadee has coupler mounting boxes with a screw hole through the middle. You need some kind of floor to which you would mount the box. It need not be any wider than the box. A real train car has a beam called a center sill running the length of the car in the middle. It doesn't look like that's present on the car in your picture, but it would be more prototypical if it were there. You could glue a piece of plastic about 3/8" wide by 1/16" thick between the part of the frame that holds the truck and the end of the frame and then attach the coupler box to that. It may take some shimming to get the coupler to the right height. Be careful to get the whole thing centered well, since that will affect how well the car couples to the next car.
