Here's my LOTW offering:
The quintessential Tyco Rock Island RR RF-16 "Shark." I've got 2 of these and they are by far my favorite Tyco locomotives of all time.

Tyco GG1 and set ready to leave Blue Mesa Station at the El Paso Model Train Club. I retrofitted the G with double PT motors, and it performs well.

My LOTW is an Overland Models (made by Ajin in South Korea in 1987) Union Pacific GP unit. I found out that less than 200 of these (including both unpainted and painted samples) were made total. I got this thing at a train show recently with the box for only $50. It runs very nicely, aside from it shuddering a bit for whatever reason. It has a Japanese Mashima can motor with a brass flywheel connected to it. This thing is surprisingly well detailed and even has sprung trucks!

-Steve
"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Sprung trucks! Wow, that is something I've never hear of on a locomotive. Gorgeous model, we see the likes of this all day long here in UP country, they are old, but still used in local service.

Dang, Busss! And once in a while I see something like that doing local industry switching in that scheme, with a BNSF paintover on the cab. Ultra cool piece.

Beautiful UP Geep. That’s a super nice find.
Here’s a Spirit of 76 that I had to do just about everything to. I figured while I was at it I should go ahead and customize it some. It was my first ever decal job so go easy please.

Yeah I know they weren’t around then but I couldn’t help myself. Especially with the allure that the normal Great Northsrn Tyco 430 has.
Though it was somewhat sacrilege to put GN decals on Seaboard Coast Line scheme.
Thanks for the nice comments guys. I really love how friendly and nice everyone is on this forum.

* Here is my Hobbyline 0-4-0t saddletank locomotive lettered for the Union Pacific RR. This was either sold separately, ready to run, or as a part of set #2500 "The Rocky Mountain".

Agreed, those GN decals make that Spirit of '76 C430 look so good!

Agree, those decals look like original silk screen. As to myself, love to do fantasy pieces, like the PC DD 40X, keeps it interesting.
Love the O-4-0, love those little critters, and this looks to be an oldie from when HO was new.
And what's new is not old, check out that amazing GP 20, what with its own controller??? I'd love if you could find the time to shoot a little video of it, what with the sound effects and all...

Here is a video I shot of my Mantua DCC w/Sound GP-20 in Santa Fe blue and yellow. It's not Athearn Genesis quality but it is not bad for the price.

Is the video showing for anyone? Just to make sure I'm posting the video correctly, I clicked on the Tube button and then put my Youtube video link between the "tube" and "/tube". Is there a different way to post Youtube videos?
Thanks

No...it is not displaying for me. You are doing it correctly, except remove the space in front of the "tube" link...for some reason the TF automatically adds a space, and that causes the video not to display.

Chops I'm not educated enough to do a video. I'll have to get one of my grandkids to show me how.

Morland, it says "blocked."
Yeah, Yard Master, I hear that, I had to learn it myself and nearly had a stroke in the process. It used to be free on Google, but it seems they did away with that and now it requires a pay-for-play host. If you get that far, it isn't so bad, just refergimate the u-drive to a chillion bytes and tap the granfer hop drive and secure your nodes. All set.

How does that little remote work with that Mantua GP-20? Is it DCC or DC with "advanced" features?
Either way quite interesting. Would love to get my hands on one so I can tear it apart!

I not sure and there were no instruction sheet with the loco. I'll probably have to you tube to find out how it works.
