Typically quite, quite cheap, and does not compare with Tyco what with its cast on brake wheels-
cheezy, man, cheezy. But I love the rugged good looks, the pastel colors, and that they track
supremely well.




Litle switcher is a sweet little runner.

Some of the Marx stuffs was sold by Sears
Some boxcars have Sears name on the side

A lot of the later Model Power line used the old Marx tooling, so some of those would be a good source of repair parts

Think I paid $10 for the more detailed Marx, and a buck for the older style. What is the approximate vintage
on that set, Frank? Looks like a real beauty. What is the vintage on the older style, and did Marx do the
detailed vs. plain style concurrently? Any back story on that?

Thanks for the tip on Model Power, I probably have a few in the scratch and dent department I can
cannabalize.
