I posted this on the Motive Power forum but saw that is might be better in the Train Sets forum. Apologies for the duplication.

New member here. I just purchased a Tyco Santa Fe 4015 train set in boxes. The set consists of a powered loco, a dummy loco, and several cars (I don't have it all with me at the moment) as well as track, some accessories such as cars, telephone poles, etc. I'm am trying to get some info on it but have been unsuccessful. Each loco and car is in a separate box (the brown Tyco style) but there is no box for the whole set.

Anyone have ideas?

thanks,
John C

John:
Set described is the "Twin Diesel Freight." As to the particular year, it depends on the particular consist of freight cars. In 1971-2 it was set number 7312B, sold with and without power pack. Stock number was the same for '72-3, ';73-4 as well as '74-5. By '74 the EMD was a later issue perhaps most easily identified by separately applied number boards. The Twin Diesel was a meat 'n potatoes set for Tyco. They had one in the line-up almost from the inception of their EMD F in 1959.
