Double dipping this week....
Up first, my Tyco Popsicle 62' Express Reefer!

Next, the Del Monte 62' box car. Both of these were obtained at great prices, in nice shape, and are awesome additions to RETRO TYCO.

Car is one half of Ambroid's 50th-Anniversary 2-car special kit (Kit 1st #8, made 1960), which built this Milwaukee gon as well as an N&W wooden war-emergency hopper. Very nice!

Sean is that gondola an old original Roundhouse. One of the first ones with a wood floor and not the latter metal floor.
My car of the week is a Varney metal reefer. Great Northern .

The most similar other kit I can think of is the Walthers gondola (prewar release) with a wood floor and cast metal sides. Roundhouse and Mantua's 40' gondolas were 100% metal.

Sean I never seen a Ambroid gondola with metal sides before. Only all wood ones. But I did see that when on Roundhouse and Varney ones when they went to metal sides had wood floors first, then changed to metal floors. Also the international line of HO Cars had metal sides and wood floors. frank
