Always intrigued by that odd double negative: Nobody doesn't like Sarah Lee." Why not, "Everybody likes Sarah Lee?"

My contribution this week is a (hopefully not a custom) BN yellow boxcar. I found it in a batch that I purchased a while back. The lettering looks like it has been printed on, but when I tried to find it on eBay, all I found was this car in Green. Is it a custom or a fluke?

oldtimer, I can assure you that it is not custom. See the following information below, credit to the "Brown Box Resource" site.

Mega cool offerings this week. Old Timer, I was given a yellow BN, by Walt, I think, and from what I hear in these rooms is that it is one of the rarest Tyco pieces, next to the D&H caboose, maybe. It is a beautiful piece, and it gives me pleasure just to look at it, but it does get the dickens run out of it, as all my stock does. It is also written in the Book of Tyco that the green BN was one of the most common pieces Tyco ever made, that and the NH box car.

I got this Life Like (formerly Varney) piece for a few bucks because of its peculiar red chassis and wheels. To my delight, it tracks beautifully.

Always good to see your collection, Busss. I was studying the images and could not for the life of me see the differences in the two Sarah Lee's until I noticed that one one the steps were filled in, and on the other they were open. You have a good eye. I'm going to have to go revisit my Sara Lee collection and see which version(s) I might have. You say both were made by Tyco?
That looks mighty fine on your layout, Shark Master.

I was a lousy, unappreciative and fidgety student. That be true. A little rice stuck on the wall, how I'm not sure. Looks your building something around that cool Chessie buggy! Cannot wait to see what evolves...
