In one of the MDC/Roundhouse 3-in-1 Kits that I have there are plans for scratch building a snow plow. I had all the parts on hand so decided to give it a try. This is the results. Just a few touch ups and it will be complete.

The main body is an MDC Vanderbuilt tender, the curved blade is part of a tanker body and the lower blade is scratch built.

That's fabulous, Alex! Some of the most interesting
railroad lore comes out of trains getting stuck in
blizzards trying to clear the rails. With a rig like
that, one wonders if it could not bulldoze a mountain.

Nice build man, seems like I never see those 3-in-1 kits actually turned into anything. Are you going to letter it? I'm gonna guess by the color scheme it'll be CN if you are...

Reminds me of the snow plows the Rock Island made from old "whale back" steam locomotive tenders. After the Rock Island went bankrupt these snow plow tenders were dispersed to several different railroads. Pictured below is an example the Chicago and North Western inherited when they bought RI's Twin City to Kansas City "Spine Line".
