Ah, a link by Jerry:

This has really intrigued me- I want to take Tycomania VII to Tycomania VIII, and tried catenary using Marklin poles, but found the overhead obstruction troublesome and didn't seem to add to what I am doing, but was somewhat distracting, visually, to my eye.
I'd like to do a small, elevated oval, where I had tried to do an elevated El, but found it visually redundant and awkward, so I canned that experiment. An elevated highway, cross the Twin Peaks, would be good, I think. After looking over what is out there, the Tyco USA1 system might be the way to go.
Ideally, I'd like something that doesn't run like blue blazes, and is fairly sturdy. I'm willing to pay up for NOS. Any suggestions or ideas?
