Here's my SOTW offering:
My expanded "set" or "string" of Tyco Triple-Dome tankers. From front to back- 3 Gulf tankers, 2 Shells, and 2 Exxons (still awaiting the 3rd and final Exxon tanker, which will need truck replacement.)

| Nice! How well do they handle that inner curve?

Thanks. And Good - except that their first trip around typically results in derailments, but then after all tankers have run around the inner line for a short period, then they are fine.

Nice string, RP. A unique and interesting collection within the broader collection.
Well, I'm still on this Electrotren kick. Got a set of five of these neat little four wheel coaches, three green, two brown, so I suspect it has something to do with which class one is traveling in. Each coach is named after a Spanish city. I post a over-the-shoulder shot of a Hornby Rural Rambler set to the the right, and its 4 wheel coaches. Thus, for the American eye it all looks generically European.
If this keeps up, I'll have to start a separate Electrotren layout!

Yay, actually posting something here for once.
I decided to look for trains on Craigslist for once just to see if there's anything out there. Sure enough, I found a listing in Harrisburg for this fine set of four Kasiner Hobbies streamlined cars. Since I had to drive through the area to get home for spring break, I arranged to meet with the fellow selling them, and after chatting for quite a while, I learned that he is looking for a home for his father's HO collection from the 1950s, and that this was only the beginning. Needless to say the price was right and these came home with me, and I'll be in touch with him for the remains, which he says amounts to one "large box of assorted freight cars and such, I don't really remember"
These will be restored to their original condition. The only catch is that all the die-cut foam full-width diaphragms crumbled and disintegrated with age, and I only have one pair of new ones on hand. Anybody know where I can find any others?

My SOTW this week is Gilbert #30740 set "The North Star". I love the M&StL diesels Gilbert produced and the T&P gondola in the set is just about perfect. Nice set from 1963.

PRR4800 Contact OK Engines for these diapragms. Most of their HO parts will fit Kasiner, Herkimer and older OK cars. I believe they still have the full width model. Evan
