A Walther's Train Line US Army GP9M, a gift from Jimmy Howard. I tried and tried to get a decent shot of this totally cool piece, but could not get a decent focus for nothing! Will try later. Anyhows, I like all my stuff to in some way reflect something I saw or somewhere I've been. This locomotive pops up all over Ft. Bliss, here in El Paso- and I am an Army vet, so it's kinda cool having this one hit the rails of Tycolia!
Just took it out for its maiden voyage. I am REALLY liking these Train Lines. It has the rugged good looks of Tyco- plus railing- and a superb drive and excellent pulling power. So far, better than a BB.
Interesting side note- the Army tried a pair of Gensets out here for about a year. What I heard is that these "green" locomotives that ran on hybrid battery power were a total fail. I saw them parked on a siding for a long time, now no more. This one I do see prominently every time I go by the rail siding near Biggs Field. When it does get used, there is a long train of TTX flats loaded with armor of every description, and a caboose for ride along security personnel.

My L(Tender)OTW offering is a custom kitbash of a early Mantua tender. Painted for Boston & Maine (B&M)

Not sure what to pair it up with yet, but I thought it looked cool.

| The graphics seem rather well done. You're sure it's a kitbash?

Yep. Absolutely. The shell is a brass wrap. I didn't post pics of the underside, but it is clearly a Mantua chassis. I was pretty surprised too. Nicely done.

Chops, NICE US Army red "Geep"!! I also love that Pennsy E7A, frank!
Here's my LOTW offering:
A brilliant A-B pair of vintage 1960's "Red Box" era Tyco Pennsylvania RR F9's, purchased at the Greenberg's Train Show 2 weeks ago -- here they are operating superbly on the Ephrata Valley Railroad, hauling 8 cars in total (although I can clearly tell that's not the ultimate limit, for the A-unit is a strong hauler like most "Red Box" MU-2 Style motors are!) GO PENNSY.
