Starting this off with my latest loco purchase. Stopped into my "other" LHS yesterday and saw this little gem. Don't know if she runs, but for $15.00 I couldn't say no.
Athearn "Little Monster" more or less complete.
In the third pic u can see some of my TH&B mousepad :D

Nice "Little Monster" steamer, DanMacK!! Great Find!! :)
Here's my LOTW offering:
Conrail F9 #4015 glistens as it passes beneath the signal bridge, hauling a load of freight labeled for CR and PC on the Ephrata Valley Railroad. This awesome locomotive was part of a trade conducted with DanMacK, and as you can plainly see, thanks to his excellent packing, the Conrail F9 along with other items, made a safe trip across the border, to PA!
Thanks again DanMacK, for a great trade.
Here's a video of the Conrail F9 delivering quality, and speed, on my layout! Enjoy:https://vimeo.com/246660688

I like that Little Monster. The belt railroad that ran to the wharfs in San Francisco had 0-4-2 engines just like Athearns model. And the Conrail F9 is really sharp looking.
My LOTW is this Model Power Metaltrain Canadian Pacific F7
It has a sound decoder and it is a sweet runner.

Most interesting contributions- particularly like the shiny glory of the Conrail F9 and the rather unusual Athearn 0-4-2. Having nothing better to serve up, here is a video of my Penn Central F under power: https://youtu.be/kbpTeRFVGIk

* Congratulations! Great Pacific locomotive! They are tuff to find. They get into collections and just stay there. They go father to son. Any of them this 4-6-2, the 4-4-2, 2-8-0, 4-4-0, 2-6-0, and all the little ones which may be the hardest to find. frank

Don't mind at all Ken. That is why I post them, for people to use as a reference. Before I started posting them ~13+- years ago, there really were very few good reference images on line.
To keep with Ken's theme... Here are a pair of Mantua Pre-War 4-6-2 Pacifics...

I'm really starting to get a new respect for the older stuff. I started with 1980's Tyco and I've been regressing.
I've also been looking for a good version of that 0-4-0 (any road, not G&P). All the ones I find are overpriced and missing the boiler front.
Looks like the gon and the caboose are available on eBay right now!

as promised photos of loco on arrival, runs very smooth and with a bonus,a working headlamp, got to add bell and few other bits, only going to touch up this one,ken
danmark, these older locos to me are the best that mantua/tyco made, take a bit of fettling to get running smoothly due to age,but well worth it

True to his word, RP guided me right into a Good and Plenty box car, which was like on the Richter scale of Sanka and Bubble Yum. I paid a lot, but am delighted. Then, RP guided me like a laser beam right into an E60 I wanted to rebuild my ATSF E60- and that only went for $15.50; usually I see them go for $80 and North. THANKS, RP!! Wow!]
Brian, this G&P caboose is up on eBay right now, $9 plus FREE shipping. Looks NIB.

Dan, nice find with that Little Monster! You got one heck of a deal on that--the last one I saw was going for $60 and I had to pass it up. Still haven't been able to get one yet. Hopefully she runs!

Frank,
That Pacific looks to be on the later generation chassis. I can tell the drivers are not spoked and the valve gear/hangers are from the later version.
