I know trying to get replacement wheels for a PT is impossible but does anyone know of a replacement axle set for a phase 1 century? the ones I have are pretty much done and I'm looking to power up both sides
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

Good afternoon Ray,

Now, please excuse me as I'm not as knowledgeable about the different phases of Tyco locomotives specifically (I just love Tyco period! ) but seeing that no one has yet provided an answer publicly, I wanted to see if by chance, I can help.....

Is this considered a "phase 1 Alco C430?" The shell is busted, so its been sitting as parts on the LTT for a month or so, but the trucks operate perfectly and the light comes on (that is, the last time I tested it, and since then it has been stored there.) I'm assuming that finding good condition axles for a PT is probably impossible, but maybe a brand new powered phase 1 motor could help....I believe mine is an MU-style, but MU-motors are usually stronger.

no the phase I century would be the super 630. the first production models began with a rivarossi style drive system then went to the PT drive and the notable vampire trucks

that one there you have looks to have the older MU-2 drive, but I could be wrong

OH A C630....and yes, I thought my C430 was an MU-style motor... sorry I couldn't be of any further assistance.
