Yesterday, I worked on constructing a small Locomotive Test Track (or LTT for short.) I've been getting tired of every time I lube a locomotive, that it makes the tracks on my layout dirty, causing me to have to clean the track quite often (which is kinda annoying when trees/buildings/scenery get in the way.) So, I devised the test track to serve as simply an operating layout of sorts to test and lube locomotives. Cleaning the track repeatedly will be easy to do on the LTT, and now I don't have to endanger any items on my layout.
It is not the prettiest layout in existence...but serves the purpose. Currently, I am working on getting the NP Mantua F-units running proficiently, so that's why they are the first to "try out" the LTT.

yes, a small test loop is always a good thing to have around, that isn't populated to inhibit the cleaning and testing of trains. Nothing wrong with a basic circle for that!
