My friend Jimmy James is getting back into the hobby after focusing on his career for forty years. What's especially fun is going back into a trove of AHM and Tyco from the 1970's that he packed away- much of it's busted up, a lot of snapped off couplers, and repairing it piece by piece.
Jimmy, like Rumplestiltskin, emerged into a world were a lot had changed in model railroading, and got a bit lost between good old Atlas snap track, preformed EZ track, foam, cork, and Kadees vs. X24's. Fortunately, we were able to consolidate what he had on hand and find a plan that works for his interests and salvages a lot of his great memories.
I am having a blast, neglecting my own projects.

Thanks, RP. One of the great pleasures of model railroading is that it is like recreating great memories and experiences in 3D. It is a total gas sharing in Jimmy's memories and experiences. A lot of his stuff was from when he was 11. It's like getting a time machine.
