Of all places you would not expect to see a railroad would be the Star Trek universe.
However there was one episode from the Star Trek the new generation series.
Episode called Emergence from its seventh season. Series 7 Episode 23.
Dailymotion video has it on the internet.

In Columbo, the episode "Bye Bye Sky High IQ", there is a brief scene with a small train layout. You can recognize some of the buildings and I believe there was a tyco power pack there.

how about the newer Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp?
that had a HO scale layout in it

Also if you ever have seen the map of their "Transcontinental Railroad" it goes south to Texas!
if UP did that they'd be mega bankrupt so badly!

oh there was a Lionel train in the Amazing Stories series
Episode was called Ghost Train
the ghost train goes right into the house cause the owner built onto the abandoned bed

Music video has some steam engine scenes.

Singer Tina Moore from 1995. Part of the new jack swing style of R&B music at that time.

Another song that mentions trains although in a different context.

https://youtu.be/5ffEcLmvEZY

Quad cities DJ group uses Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra's music for this song.

There is a music video to this song but I believe this video is more appropriate.

Photos from All Monsters Attack also known as Godzilla's Revenge.

Cute movie but not a favorite among fans of the Japanese series.

Well known Japanese actor Kenji Sahara in a minor role as a train engineer.

There are a few minutes of railroad scenes in this movie.

Mainly small switchers and hopper cars and ore cars in the freight yard scenes.

Not my photos but some can be found on the internet.

Possibly was filmed on sections of the BN High Line that went from Edgemont, SD to Deadwood, SD
Now the Mickelson Rail Trail
BN abandoned the line in 1986
4 -5 years before the 100th Anniversary of it being built in 1890-91!

Classic 1974 movie which deals with retribution and justice.

Subway scenes in these segments. If the videos are too graphic let me know and I will remove them.

This predates Bernard Goetz. I remember that well. Classic Bronson
is always cool, thanks for posting.

WKS, you ride more subways and buses than anyone I have ever, ever
known. How do you score, for safety, the metropolitan transits you frequently use?

I have been riding the subway trains for over fifty years Jeff.
For the most part they are safe to ride. At least during the day.

At nights they can be unsafe as they travel thru some of the less desirable areas of the city.

Here is a most satisfying montage of Paul Kersey in action.
Some people enjoy model trains or stamps or doll collecting.
Mr Kersey enjoys taking out the trash and make the streets safe.

Among all the fun moments there is a quick Amtrak scene at the 4:18 time of this fun video.
If this is offensive to some I will remove the video.

Compare that movie to a much more interesting giant bird movie.

The same clip from the earlier post.

Another clip a bit longer.

Also has rail equipment.

A more menacing adversary.

Both before CGI and infinitely better at least for me.

There is of course the Thomas the tank engine classic series based on the story books about Thomas the little blue British tank engine and all of his friends on the British island of sodor original classic series with o-scale models was much better than the newer CGI stuff which is just made so that they can make more products based on it that they can sell to kids
