Next project: in ancient Britain, the Vikings used a few of their ships (decommissioned ones I would suspect) as funerary coffins for their greatest warriors and chieftans slain after battle. They would drag theses ships inland, place the deceased in the hold along with all manner of weapons and treasure for the After Life and bury it. One of the most remarkable is in Sutton Hoo. So, on the British OO layout I intend to create a less whimsical, more proto, version of this astonishing relic.
Then I have to find room to replicate Dan Mack's brilliant small layout...

A busted up Tyco crossing gate with bell and the cross bucks was supposed to light up. The bell mech is still pretty good, but the rest of it pretty rough. Come to think of it, I may take the bell mech and wire it into the crossing shanty guy. Thanks for making me think of that!!
