I was so intent on the bidding for this Red Box all metal Tyco steamer I failed to
see it was missing the pilot. No wonder it went cheap. Well, she runs smooth as
glass, that be sure, just no pilot. Should I whang off the trailing truck and make
it a Chatanooga Choo Choo. Blargh! Anyone got a pilot they can sell or trade???
Thank you for not laughing.

A 2-8-0 truck may work.

I found a Mantua 4 wheel pilot truck on line. Cost a pretty damn
penny, but I got it.

More bad news: That engine uses a 2-wheel pilot truck.

That wold be correct. I don't know quite how I made the jump from Mikado
to Mountain. I was able to find a replacement two wheel pilot for $4.
