I do not think it was Gilbert Erector if it is Erector
The construction suggests Occupied Japan as does the battery litho
MY personal favorite the little on off switch
AND YES TRIED IT (first with a DC Power Pack then AC) A wire came loose on the contact to the motor used a clip wire there got sparks from the contacts that is it
The pulley suggests it is a generator further proven by the little on off switch as well as the power needle I think the needle is for show
STILL An interesting item

0K Now recent purchase for some time (fingers crossed) due to finance etc hope to be putting stuff on e bay
