Here is my locomotive of the week. I found this Milwaukee Road F7-A at the Timonium Train Show this weekend. It is still mint in the box.

One of my few attempts at kitbashing: trying to make a rough fascimile of what I believe was a former PRR B1 that became an electric switcher in PC black in the Sunnyside Yards. I had to scavenge the pantographs off a Tyco parts GG1. Thinking some air reservoirs on the roof might round it out a bit. Not a perfect match by any shot, but captures the feel of the real thing- which was a surprise to me.

Pennline Pennsylvania Railroad L-1 and I-1 arrive at Frankford Station for assignment. While another I-1 with its reefer train looks to enter the main line. Also seen a small tanker is working at unloading hopper cars. A Pennsy E6 Atlantic pulled away from the station platform with a morning commuter train. It is a busy morning. frank

Gonna use a recently acquired loco for this week. It's an older model Mantua diesel that is in need (badly) of a restoration. Got it cheap ($23) for a distraction from my steamers and to use to lead my billboard construct.
Now gotta figure out what road name to put on it.

Woah! Nice metal Shark, oldtimer52! Hope the restoration project goes well, and I can't wait to see some photos! That Shark would look good in PC paint, but it might look even more awesome in a New York Central "Lightning Stripe" scheme. Just a suggestion.

Or D&H? A silly question, but I am sure you must have seen that amazing history posted by New York Central on the Forum. It is a trove.

The Baldwin DR4-4-15. This is the Baldwin designation for both the shark nose and the baby face Baldwins. This locomotive was made by Baldwin in two body styles with the same internal components. It was later produced as a 1600 HP diesel locomotive. Pennsylvania who owned the largest number of them called them class RF15, then BF15 and RF16 then BF16. There were 6 axel shark nose diesel's class BF20. These were 2000 HP units which were later downgraded to 1600 HP. They were Baldwin DR6-4-20 and Pennsy class BP20, later BF16z. All were shark nose diesel's.

WOAH - Awesome NYC Tyco Shark, Mike!! Now, if only I could get one.......
toptrain, excellent synopsis of Baldwin Sharknose diesels. Actually, I researched, compiled, and self-published a book last month entitled Pennsylvania RR Sharks: A Pictorial -- which to my knowledge, fulfills a need for there were no books before, that were solely devoted to the Sharks that served on the PRR. I am so proud of this achievement and wanted to inform you all, but was biding my time. :)
Pennsylvania RR Sharks: A Pictorial is available for real on Amazon and can be seen here: https://www.amazon.com/Pennsylvania-Sharks-Mr-Robert-Putnick/dp/1974179451/ref=la_B075JLCKKJ_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1507823188&sr=1-2

For Chops, just wanted to post two things I found relating to the boxcabs under Penn Central
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxdFXst1yVA first, some footage of a boxcab doing it's work switching. There's an Alco working at the start, the boxcab footage is a little ways in
and finally http://rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=4818306 a picture of one in PC garb, not far from the torch.
sim-al2 Also since they cut track maintaince the trains had huge trouble making over the railroad by the end 純那 yeah They did a Rock Island volountarily
