My LOTW is this Athearn BB SD9 I picked up last week. I quickly got rid of the hideous UP scheme and I now have a fantasy Western Maryland engine. The only part of its appearance that wasn't changed was the cab number, because the number boards already the number decaled to them. I only have an after picture, because it won't let me upload the before pic:

Both of the previous Locomotives were awesome! Here is my (correction, second :D) LOTW offering - Enjoy :)
Bachmann Union Pacific RR GP40-2 #866, from the 1980's era (I believe.) Still going strong on my layout.

That twin-motored GG1 is pretty nice! The GP40 and SD9 look great too.
My LOTW is a cow and calf pair that I'm working on. I installed new can motors and flywheels and it runs smoothly. I still need to add a few details.

Cow and calf, always an interesting sight. I do like that vintage Bachmann, a genuinely interesting piece. I'd love to see some video of that great old layout- with its vintage brass track!

Well, I am having a hard time deciding which engine to post this week, so I"m posting TWO , both C&O engines. One an early generation diesel ( my favorite ), and my first C&O big steam engine ( that I know of, I have so many now.... ). Both came from a local club member who bought up some estates recently, and I got to go through all his HO engines before the GP ( general public ), as he hired me to service and repair them for sale. I picked out about 5 that I liked , and they are now mine.
The top one is obviously my fav, the BL-2 by EMD. This one by AHM has the desirable 5-pole motor, not the more common 3. I would have passed on it if it was a 3, but it's a "10" in my book, the body is mint, and the motor runs great. Might be my Decoder experiment on one of these. :)
The steam engine is a Rivarossi 2-8-4, it also runs well, I've never had a big C&O steam engine before, most are 0-6-0 or 0-4-0 switch steamers in this road name that I own. I'm rather excited to get this one.
Like I said, it was such a toss-up, that I decided to share both with you guys this week. Enjoy!

*Well, I do like the Mantua Camelback Mikado. I have 2 of them and still do have these locos. I finished them as Lehigh Valley who was the only Railroad to have them. They were LV K class locomotives. Well I found another one to add to the Valley roster. This one looks to have been painted black, not lettered and left on a dusty shelf. My excellent detective work has determined this. The boiler front with the over large headlight can't be seen in this photo as I removed it to remove the over large headlight from it shelf. It has been boxed and waits on refurbishing. Frank

My LOTW offering this week is what I believe to be a plastic version of the 4-2-0 Pufferbelly C&NW Pioneer HO Steam Locomotive:

Catford Ken. Your opinion on the Hobo's as runners. They appear very solidly built. Always meant to ask you about these. Evan
